Payten Vidourek

After a successful career at Northwestern State on the track and cross country teams, Payten Vidourek is back as the school’s cross country/distance coach.
 

In his first season as the cross country coach, he was instrumental in the development of Lalaina Wood, helping her shave nearly a minute off her 4K time from her freshman season.
 

From the moment he stepped on the field as a member of the Demons cross country team, he proved to be one of the best distance runners on the team.,
 

While on the track team, teams he was a part of a team that finished second at the Southland Championships on three occasions, including earning both in indoor and outdoor in 2023.
 

Vidourek earned points as a member of the distance medley relay team in the indoor seasons in both 2022 and 2023.
 

He clocked a personal-best 3:55.06 in the 1500 at the 2023 Bryan Clay Invitational, as well as reached the finals of the mile at the 2022 SLC Indoor Championships, running a 4:18.20.
 

A five-time member of the SLC Commissioner’s Honor Roll, Vidourek is working toward his master’s in sport administration.
