2013 Season: In 11 games (missing one, playing sparingly in another due to injury) he wasn’t thrown at very often and showed why in season finale, picking off two passes (48 return  yards) … helped Demons’ Purple Swarm defense rank second in the explosive Southland Conference (teams averaged 35 ppg, 454 ypg) in yards allowed per game (389 average) … helped NSU post its best record (6-6) since 2008… had one sack on the season, against UAB… added another tackle for loss against Sam Houston… career-high eight tackles against Cincinnati… had seven takedowns against Lamar… five tackles at UAB… returned two kicks for 36 yards, 28 on his return against Southern.

2012 Season: Played in nine games… season-high six tackles in the last game at Stephen F. Austin… four tackles at Nevada… three tackles against Arkansas-Monticello with an interception for 28 yards and a touchdown… two tackles versus Sam Houston State.

2011 Season:  Redshirted

2010 Season:  Appeared in five games at cornerback and on special teams as a true freshman.

High School:  All-State 4A kick returner... All-CENLA, all-district for the Trojans... coached by Chris Gatlin... had two kickoff return touchdowns, five punt return TDs, for pass receiving TDs for a total of 11 scores as a senior in 2009... made three interceptions, 80 tackles... had 317 receiving yards senior year and 17 receptions for 307  yards and five TDs junior year... also lettered three years on powerful ASH track team.

Personal: Son of Stephanie Claiborne, a nurse and social worker... has six siblings... born 7/20/92... has one child, Addison, and fiancée, Ashlee England.
