NATCHITOCHES – The St. Michael's boys and the girls from St. Joseph's Academy won the team titles Saturday at the NSU Pre-State High School Invitational.
St. Michael's finished with five runners in the top-16, including senior Alex Landry who finished fifth overall with a time of 16:24.69.
The individual winner for the boys' race was senior John Paul Hardin, who ran unattached from Zachary, La.. His time of 16:07.69 was tops among the 226-man field.
On the girls' side, St. Joseph's Academy had four finish inside the top-10 to take home the team title for the second consecutive year.
Freshman Claire Vaughn of Holy Savior Menard was the individual winner with a time of 18:45.
The meet drew 239 female runners from 23 teams and 226 male runners from 25 teams.
