Polina Konop grabbed a win after Liberty's Alexandra Sheeran dropped out of the competition.
Vanja Bogetic also competed for the Lady Demons, falling to Iowa State's Emma Waites, 6-0, 6-1.
In doubles play, Krutova and Konop defeated Richard and Sheeran of Liberty, 8-2. Larina and Nedorostova dropped their match to FGCU's Sterkel and Mandic, 9-7, and Bogetic and
Daniela Simonova fell to Northern Florida's Weymar and Calderon, 8-2.
"We played very well today," said Lady Demon tennis head coach Patric Dubois. "Tatiana and Andrea had sold three set wins against a couple of top three players from North Texas and their loss in the finals of doubles was very good tennis, as was the win by Konop and Krutova. We definitely accomplished what we wanted to this weekend."
The Lady Demons head to Baton Rouge on Saturday to compete against LSU in their first dual team match of the season.
