NATCHITOCHES – Four Northwestern State Lady Demons were included on the 2012 All-Louisiana Tennis Team announced by the Louisiana Sports Writers Association, headlined by Freshman of the Year

Andrea Nedorostova were second-team selections on the 12-woman team chosen by tennis sports information directors from around Louisiana.
Northwestern led all state schools with four players honored, followed by Tulane with three, and LSU, Louisiana Tech and Nicholls with two apiece. NSU finished 14-5 overall this spring.
Larina, the Southland Conference Freshman of the Year, was 16-3 at No. 2 singles and 15-4 at No. 2 doubles. The Taganrog, Russia, native won first-team All-Southland honors in singles as she was 11-1 against league opponents.
Konop, a sophomore transfer from Kiev, the Ukraine, was 16-3 at No. 3 singles, and 17-2 at No. 2 doubles while earning first-team All-Southland Conference honors in singles. She was 10-2 against Southland singles foes.
Bazhanova, who graduated in May with honors, was 13-6 at No. 1 singles and 17-2 at No. 1 doubles for the Lady Demons. She won first-team All-Southland honors in doubles and was Academic All-Southland first-team.
The Nikolaev, Ukraine native moved into the Lady Demons' top 10 all-time in singles victories and is third all-time in doubles victories at Northwestern, all while playing the No. 1 position in both for the past three seasons. She was team captain for a 14-5 team that had four newcomers in six singles slots.
Nedorostova, the Brno, Czech Republic native, was elected 2012-13 team captain after her junior season this spring, when she was 13-6 at No. 4 singles and 15-4 at No. 2 doubles. She won second-team All-Southland doubles honors.
Three-times All-Southland in doubles, first-team last two years, Nedorostova has made All-Louisiana and Academic All-Southland for the third straight year. She raised her career doubles record to 54-7, breaking into the school's all-time top 10 in doubles wins, ranking seventh, 13 away from a tie for first. She upped her career singles mark to 47-15, two wins away from cracking NSU's top 10 career list. Her 3.93 grade point average in communications was the highest on the Academic All-Southland Team as she earned first-team recognition.
Tulane's Mariam Kurdadze was the All-Louisiana Player of the Year. Along with Larina, the other individual award winners were Parija Maloo of Nicholls, the state Newcomer of the Year and Terri Sisk of Tulane, the Coach of the Year.
