NATCHITOCHES - Northwestern State baseball head coach Jon Paul Davis has announced the signing of two outfielders - Drew Helenihi and Jordan Buckley, both of which complete the Demons' 2010 signing class.

Helenini, a 6-0, 170 pound lefty from Livermore, California, hit .340 this past season with Chabot College.  He finished the year with three home runs, 35 RBIs, 10 doubles, three triples, and 45 runs scored.

Buckley, a 6-0, 170 pound righty from Flower Mound, Texas and New Mexico Junior College, was a 22nd round draft choice by the Atlanta Braves in this past June's MLB Draft.

He hit .360 with four home runs, 41 RBIs, three doubles, nine triples, and stole 25 bases.

"Drew and Jordan are both extremely talented outfielders," said Davis who had to make the late signees after NSU lost two underclassmen to the MLB Draft - pitcher Chad Sheppard and outfielder Oscar Garcia.  "They are both plus runners and plus throwers who should have an immediate impact on our lineup in 2011.

"Both are also outstanding student who should fit in very well within Demon baseball and NSU athletics.  We are vey pleased to have both of these guys joining us."

The duo completes a signing class of 12 penned by the Demons for the 2011 season.

Did ESPN's SportsCenter rank Paul Harris' sensational 11-yard TD run highly enough at No. 4 on Plays of the Day Saturday?
No. 4 was a fair spot considering the Top 3
C'mon, pro golfers make aces over and over again
Could've been top 2
It was the most eye-catching play, no doubt
Can't wait to see what Harris and the Demons do Saturday at home vs. Samford
